Pablo Costas

Pablo Costas was born in 1997 and began his musical training at the age of 5 after school. At 9 he entered the Manuel Quiroga Conservatory in Pontevedra to receive classes from maestro Alberto Vila. While completing his professional degree, he works in the choir and orchestra of the IES A Xunqueira, in which he maintains his participation to this day and begins to train in Jazz and Modern at the hands of teachers such as Carlos Calviño or Javier Record it.
At the age of 18, he entered the Superior Conservatory of the Basque Country, where he directed his training towards Jazz with teachers such as Iñaki Salvador, Francesc Capella or Bob Sands, while participating in various projects recording records and playing with different groups on various stages such as those of the San Sebastián Jazz Festival and the Palencia Jazz Festival. He obtained the Superior title of Piano Jazz and published his first album at the age of 22, completed a first year of Master’s degree with Ron Van Rossum in Leuven, Belgium, and in 2021 finished his training with a master’s degree in Jazz performance in the Esmuc by the hand of Albert Bover. He is currently in Barcelona, combining his pedagogical work with students of all ages while preparing his second album as leader and 3 others as sideman.
