Edurne Arizu

She graduated from the Pablo Sarasate Superior Conservatory of Music in Pamplona with professor Nekane Iturrioz as accordionist. She has a degree in History and Music Sciences from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. She studied modern singing at Tallers de Músics de Barcelona, as well as musical theater. She is part of several musical projects, as a singer, accordionist and composer. As an interpreter she collaborates with the Chamber Orchestra of Granollers and as a soloist with the Liceu Guitar Orchestra. She works on several theater projects, both in composition and interpretation. She works with the company Pasadas las 4 (Navarra), La Ortiga (Navarra), with the Slovenian director Tomaz Pandur, in a production of the Mérida Festival, with the Lanònima Imperial dance company (Barcelona) in a production of the TNC, and with the circus company “Earth”. Currently she plays with several musicians from the Barcelona music scene such as Giulia Valle, Carola Ortiz, Juliane Heinemann, Jose Alberto Medina, Marta Robles, Alba Carmona and Oriol Riart. She has also recorded as accordionist with the group “Líbera” of the upright base player Giulia Valle and is recording with her group “Durny Sweet” and “Priscilla”.
