Music School with more than 40 years of experience

Authorized by the Generalitat of Catalonia

Member of EMIPAC (Escuelas de Música de iniciativa privada asociadas de Cataluña)

The Luthier School of Musical Arts was founded in 1979 by the guitarist and educator Alícia Alcalay Rosés. It is a private center, recognized by the Generalitat of Catalonia since February 13, 1986 and authorized since 1995.

Its educational task brings together all the cycles from 3 years of age, musical initiation, elementary, professional and higher level.

Currently the School has students of national and international origin and has a highly qualified teaching staff. Many of them are backed by a notable concert and teaching career. The teachers collaborate in the revitalization of the activities that make up the annual programming of the course, that is, auditions, concerts, courses, conferences, summer, Christmas and Easter, among others.

The Luthier School already has a past and present student body that endorses it as a prestigious school within the country’s music scene and is highly renowned both abroad and here.

In 2011, it expanded its spaces with a dance area, directed by the renowned tap dancer Guillem Alonso.

Teaching

method

We teach students of all ages from 3 years old to adults and retirees.

The instrument classes are individual, although at the elementary level 2 students can be put in a class. Theoretical classes are in small groups or individual.

We have highly qualified teachers specialized in different methods, suitable for each student.

Throughout the course there are student auditions and teacher recitals. You can check them in the school calendar.

Students can be examined and are equated with the levels of the official conservatories.

The school has various instruments to rent at reasonable prices for students who need it.

We have study rooms available to students.
