Mercè Roca-Ritook was born in 1981. She studied piano at the Virtèlia Music School of Barcelona and at the School of Music of Barcelona. She continued her studies with Marité Monteys until 2004, when she obtained the title of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music in London. In parallel, she continued to work with Professor Ludovica Mosca at Luthier Music School. She moved to Paris in 2005, where she specialized in accompaniment to the Gabriel Fauré and Jean-Philippe Rameau Conservatories, with Pascal Lecor and Christine Rouault. In 2008 she completed a professional master’s degree at the University of the Sorbonne in Paris in the specialization of vocal accompaniment, under the direction of pianist Françoise Tillard. She has attended master classes and interpretation courses with pianists such as Dalton Baldwin, Wolfram Rieger or Philip Moll, and singers such as François Leroux and Régina Werner. In 2006 she performed at the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris as a soloist in the Cantata de San Nicolás, by Britten. She has also performed at various Catalan festivals. She has been an accompanying pianist in different music courses, such as the French melody of the Académie du Théatre Français de la Musique, which takes place at Théatre Impérial de Compiègne and has worked in several conservatories of the Paris Region.
