Pau Gurpegui

Born in Terrassa, Pau Gurpegui started playing drums at the age of eleven, performing on stage at the protestant church. Took lessons in Aula de Música in Terrassa and later on in Taller de Músics doing the preparation course for the bachelors degree. He kept on learning with Jo Krause, David Xirgu and Andreu Pitarch at ESMUC, Martjin Vink and Lucas Van Merwijk at Conservatorium Van Amsterdam. Currently, he is working as a drummer in different projects and gospel choirs, he’s also got his personal project called “Autoretrat (Self Portrait)”. Doing approximately 100 concerts this year, he usually plays in known venues in Barcelona such as Jamboree, Robadors23, Nova Jazz Cava, Heliogabal, etc.
