Fernando Rodríguez

Born in Barcelona, he studied with Manuel Gonzalez and Carles Trepat. Later he pursued further studies with Jose Tomás, David Russell and Oscar Ghiglia, amongst others. He won first prize in the National Contest of Young Interpreters of Joventudes Musicales in 1984. He won second prize in the third national competition of interpretation of Catalan music for guitar. He won a special prize for the required work in that competition, “Cantus,” composed by X. Benguerel. He has participated as a jury member in several competitions and auditions.
